Each deep breath is 3 seconds inhalation and 3 seconds exhalation.
Inhalation (Inspiration) is the act of taking air or oxygen into the lungs. The diaphragm contracts and moves downward, expanding the chest cavity.
Exhalation (Expiration) is the act of releasing or breathing out carbon dioxide-rich air from the lungs. The diaphragm relaxes and moves upward, reducing the chest space.
The preferred terms in this app are Inhalation and Exhalation.
